Since its inception, spoken word poetry has been an outlet for people to release their views outside the academic and institutional domains of the university and academic or small press. At Uptown Bill’s, twice a month, local poets and authors gather on Saturday afternoons to read from their own material, published and non-published, and also read from works they find inspiring and motivational. This show features readings from Todd Jackson, Andrea Athey, & Chuck Miller. Recorded 2/25/12.
