The World Beat Ensemble is a group with flexible membership dedicated to playing popular musics from different traditions as it mixes with jazz elements. Repertoire ranges from New Orleans brass bands to Caribbean soca and West African Highlife. Under the direction of James Dreier, this ensemble performs in unconventional venues from street dances to outdoor festivals. World Beat Ensemble is open to all students without audition.
