Yale talks with Cedar Rapids Gazette columnist Jennifer Hemmingsen about the recent rash of suicides committed by teens and adolescents who had been bullied for being gay or even just because they were perceived to be gay. They talk about the It Gets Better Project and other programs that have been created to help teens who have been the victim of bullying and harassment as well as how our current culture seems to have become more mean-spirited and vitriolic than ever before among people of all ages, what may be fueling that, and what role the internet has in it all.
