I’m delighted to be able to say: PATV has reopened and is almost fully functional again! It went from a TV station to a tangled mound of cables and back in record time!
With the high waters leaving as quick as they came, it’s back to business usual(?) here at the center. And with the threat of imminent doom receding (for now) like so much brown sludge water, how can one not be filled with a new sense of gratitude, and a new resolve to utilize this tiny beacon of free expression to its fullest potential? Nobody, fella! That’s who!
And thus and so! Three cheers for keepin’ dry! Let’s get out there and make the best ol’ PATV programming the world’s ever done did seen? Yeah!!!

Here at Washington DC’s public access channels–DCTV– are relieved and happy to hear you are safe, well and still serving the public through it all. Congratulations on the record time to get back up and running! You have an admirable resolve.
Best Regards,

Josh and everyone at PATV. Thank you for your hard work and dedication! Defintely some crazy days in Iowa lately. I can’t begin to imagine… Glad to hear you’re all doing ok.
My thoughts are with you,

As a former flood survivor in 2006, it is truly amazing how fast the waters come and how fast they go. It does make you appreciate what you have and reminds you about what is truly important.
Congratulations Iowa City- PATV- for rising above it all!
Thanks very much for your support, everybody! I’m still reeling a bit with relief from it all!
I want thank everyone that did get involved with helping with the flood protecton efforts. I wasn’t personally able to get there to help, but I am thankful for those that did.
Long Live PATV—you’re the Greatest!
